First of all, a MILLION thank yous to the amazing cloeliae For helping me out with Touya! I couldn't have done it without her!
Oh how I wish I had a better image of this! There is SO much detail lost, it makes me want to cry!
Now, let's see...anyone familiar with Cardcaptor Sakura will know of Yue's impossibly long hair; as such, my friend and I loving refer to him as Rapunzel. That planted an art bunny in my head for about the last year, and now I've finally gotten it drawn!
With Touya as Prince Charming, of course, since my last piece was a Clow/Yue.
I intended to have Touya making an "OMG, WTF?" face, which Cloeliae had helped me with; unfortunately, as I neared the end, I realized it just didn't fit *is sad*
I am so very pleased with this piece. Of course there are parts I still cringe at, but I will not point those out to y'all!
Prismacolor pencils (used 3/4 a black) 18x24 inch paper. Took over a month, yo o.0
Sold to a boy from my college library for $50. Not bad for a picture I didn't think i'd ever sell. I wonder how long it will take for someone to recognize the characters and tell him Yue's a boy! I won't tell if you won't.
Yue and Touya Copyright CLAMP. Artwork copyright me with the lovely assistance of cloeliae
Wow I am so in love with this artwork!!!!!!!!! Its absolutely beautiful, and you're rite, its a shame that not all the detail shows. The detail that does show is amazing! You're so terribly good with prismacolor, I only WISH i could be that good with it! You're great with costume design! Plus, i yue, so that makes it all even better! Yue's braid looks absolutely amazing. awesome work!
Thank you very much! With luck, I will have a newer, better image of it by tommorrow evening! If not...well, it's back to MS paint for me! It's completely ghetto editing, but I've done it before.
Keep practicing; every time i use Prisas, I figure out something new you can do with them!

Hiya! ^^ Thank you very much! I just use the standard original Prismacolor pencils. I've tried the Verithins and find them too hard-leaded to get a smooth, rich laydown. Yeah, they're rather pricey, but if there's one art supply to spoil yourself with, it's Prismacolor...and Copics...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
